An Art print is such a great way to own some artwork, whether you want to spend a little less than an original piece or you just love work on paper. My Giclee prints are printed in high-quality ink on textured watercolour paper, this enhances the details and brush strokes and maintains the depth of the colours. Side note - Giclee is a french word and means, to spray. So in the context of printing, it means to spray ink!
If you are looking for Christmas present ideas or just want to add to your art collection, check out the work below and head to my website for more. It’s 15% off ALL PRINTS just for this week until December 3rd, prices start from £25!

How To Choose Art For Your Home
Choosing Artwork for your home is really fun, but if you arent sure where to begin it can be a bit overwhelming. There is SO MUCH artwork out there, in person and online. Four quick points to consider and to help you get started in the decision process:
Space
Consider how big your space is. You don’t want a tiny painting on a huge wall that will just get lost and look lonely. But equally you don’t want a painting to overpower a room and make the space look smaller. Find the balance by measuring out markers on your wall with a tape measure and stand back and have a look.
Colours
If you are choosing your painting before your have started decorating, you have the freedom to choose your interiors based on the colours or colour in your painting. The options of wall paint colours out there are endless and you can colour match anything you like these days. If you have already decorated your room, decide if you want the painting to compliment the colours you have already chosen or if you want the painting to pop out and catch attention. If your walls are neutral (whites, creams, greys), then a really colourful painting can stand out and become the statement of the room.
Budget
Whatever your budget is, there’s artwork out there for you. If your budget is on the higher end and you want to invest in a more expensive piece, go and see artwork in person if you can in galleries and art fairs. Do your research into the artist and gallery, how they work and how other people have experienced buying from them.
There’s so many options for a smaller budget. Prints of originals are a great option. Consider framaing too, where you can buy a frame for the size print you have chosen. Searching online for artists on websites like Artfiner, Saatchi, Instagram and Etsy will give you useful tools to set your budget and even your colour and size preferences. You will find both originals and prints in these places.
What Brings You Joy
There are so many reasons that drive people to buy artwork. Sentimental values, colour schemes, subject matter, investments. But I always say, at the heart of your decision, does it bring you joy? You are the one that will be looking at it every day if its in your home, so if you love it and the price and size are right, who cares what anyone else thinks :) Go for it!
Below is a quick and helpful video illustrating how to choose the size and placement of your wall art…
I am working on a new video for next week so stay tuned, but if you haven’t already please do subscribe to my YouTube channel if you want to see my process and what goes on behind the scenes at Studio Orange :)
