Thank you
I finally made it my exhibition and it was a great one thanks to you. Here's a walk through of what each piece was about.
Morning,
I hope you had a great week and are doing well. I would like to say a massive thank you to you for coming to my exhibition last Friday and for all your kind messages and support, it is so appreciated and means so much! It was such a fun evening and there was a great buzz and atmosphere and that’s all thanks to you. All the work is now up on my website so if you are interested in having a look click on the button below.
I would also like to say thank you to Well & Good for having me in their beautiful space. If you haven’t had a chance already, check them out. They offer co-working, fitness classes, workshops and a classy place to have a drink (and now a pub quiz) on a Thursday and Friday night. The next quiz night is on Thursday 7th April and it will be a fundraiser for the Ukraine appeal, so a great one to come to.
What It Was All About
As requested I filmed a little video once all the work was up so if you didn’t get a chance to come along, here’s a walk-through of the work and a few thoughts about what each piece is about. Hope you enjoy! It was early in the morning when I was filming so excuse the moments when my brain moving slowly ;)
For Sale: The Northern Lights
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing a few of the pieces from the project and a little bit about them.
This original oil on canvas is 61 X 76 X 4 CM and is inspired by seeing the Northern Lights in 2015.
The northern lights are a natural phenomenon, the dancing waves of light are in actual fact particles of the sun that have been captured in the earth's magnetic field, creating a kaleidoscope of green, yellow, blue and violet streaks and swirls. The night I saw them, the lights moved slowly, then sped up as they flowed in the sky, like they were on a time-lapse!
This piece is also available as a print in several different sizes.
If you want to see more details or other work, you can head to my shop below.
Thanks for reading and have a great weekend,
Lydia x
