Prints, Pesto, and Poison: The Story of Cow Parsley
A series of cow parsley prints from this summer season...
Hello and happy Wednesday!
Over the summer, the humble Cow Parsley was the flower I printed the most. They may not seem all that impressive, but they make beautiful prints and, who knew, pesto! So as we mentally prepare ourselves for the end of summer (don’t panic, Autumn doesn’t officially start until the 22nd of September), I have a little series to show you today :)
Cow Parsley vs Hemlock
First up, some fun (and life-saving) facts. Cow Parsley and Hemlock look almost identical, but one is edible, and the other is deadly. (Please excuse me if you have already read this on my Instagram post).
You can throw cow parsley in with your salad or make pesto with it, but Hemlock on the other hand, is wildly poisonous! Think The Hunger Games Nightlock style. So, just leave that stuff where it is and just enjoy the view from afar.
Nonetheless, in a nature reserve 5 minutes from my house, both these plants spread and take over in July, and it’s absolutely magical :)
The Cow Parsley Series
All these prints are available in my Etsy store from £20. If you are interested in knowing more about them, just click on one below and you will be transported to my store :) I have many more unlisted, so if you want to enquire about seeing more of them, just shoot me a message.
*These are all unframed, so that you can have the freedom to choose the right frame for your own space. It’s very easy and budget-friendly to find frames off the shelf for any of these pieces.
They will be packaged up and sent straight to your chosen address with a thank you note from me :)
Thank you for reading and have a great week
